as a follow-up to the event in Malacca last month, our angels descended upon the Sama-Sama hotel in KLiA last saturday for another reception held by the same host. to accomodate the ballroom space that was much cozier than the expansive convention center in Malacca, we created a pelamin with low structures that sprawled to the sides in a welcoming embrace. in accordance with the stipulated color scheme, we dressed the pelamin in layers of whites and creams with splashes and drops of red.

cajun chic
our angels had a marvelous time transforming the grand ballroom of the Shangri-La hotel from regular to ravishing for this wedding reception. the look was a radical departure from that of the relatively sedate solemnization ceremony the day before. but it reflected the nature of our client who relishes adventure nonetheless. the pelamin was an eclectic marriage of martha stewart's shabby chicness and lady gaga's gothic elegance with tendrils of spanish moss, amaranthus, dendrobiums and crystals raining onto a garden of bright gatherings upon a velvet canvas. similarly, the dining tables were adorned with elegant orchids, tulips and lilies juxtaposed with succulents and lotus pods set upon moss-covered branches and undulating lianas. see for yourselves...

tales from earthsea: a prelude
for the assignment in that piece of heaven on earth, we afforded the creative touches of two angels, Iman and Lan, to adorn the windswept oceanfront compounds of the client with our signature floral gatherings. our client was abundantly generous to lend a few delicate hands to prep the flowers for our angels so they could work with ease. apart from decking the outdoors, our angels also created centerpieces for the indoors. in this post, we feature the work our angels did for the dining table in the house. they topped an assembly of clear glass cylinders in varying sizes and heights arranged lengthwise across the table with loose gatherings of locally bought flowers in mostly neutral hues. flashes of bright yellows, oranges, and pinks added vitality to the assembly. lit block candles finished the look, radiating an ethereal glow across the surface of the table, giving the illusion that the flowers were floating on air.

interior minister
we love assignments that are atypical like the one we did for Sincere last friday. for the company's latest launch event, we received instructions to transform the concourse fronting their flagship boutique at Starhill Gallery into spaces typically found in gentlemen's clubs and luxurious private homes: warm comfortable paneled alcoves furnished with plush chesterfield sofas cluttered around ornate fireplace mantels. so, to project this sense of exclusive comfort and timeless sophistication in the bare space provided, our angels toiled away and created the following interior looks:

sex in the city
recently, our friends from Astro launched their new tv channel, Astro Bella, at the chic Ciao Ristorante. the new channel is aimed to attract ardent fans of telenovellas and we were requested to give its launch the Flora Etc treatment. we had, however, very little in terms of lead time but we had plenty in terms of imagination. so, our angels gathered all the necessary resources and set out full-throttle to please our dear client. as telenovellas are known for their palpitation-inducing vibe, we toyed with colors and elements that evoke love, romance and decadent passion in our design. red, being the quintessential color of love and romance, featured predominantly in the flowers, fruits and fabric that we picked. we also used black to elicit the less desirable but certainly notable side to all that love and passion. glamor was sprinkled on the table overlays in sequins and on the seductive mannequins in voluminous corsages and chunky crystal accessories. quite literally, our towering glory for the event was the forbidden tree that bore all those irresistible red fruits. of course our tree also featured teardrop crystals, hanging bubble vases and succulent cymbidiums for a sumptuous dose of drama. yes, my precious, come and have a bite..!
