last sunday, we revived an old classic at the JW Marriott, Putrajaya, for a wedding reception. we especially loved the wall and ceiling treatments that took on a divine appearance when bathed in pink glow.

sweet lullaby

blue is usually reserved for baby boys but for this majlis cukur jambul, whites and off-whites were chosen to evoke a demure and sedate feel to the occasion.  hush now, the baby's asleep..!

inner beauty

for the launch of this residential project, our angels provided a quasi colonial feel for the decor of the main event area with whitewashed trellis panels and fences, hanging potted begonias and domestic palms in large pots.  to enliven the interior of the featured show house, our angels graced the furnished spaces with exquisite floral gatherings in white and green.

many adoring fans were heart broken when Astro failed to broadcast the akad nikah of celebrity couple Scha & Awal live last friday.  but we were unaware of all the conundrum as most of us were very much occupied preparing for the couple's next big event, their reception.  so, for those of you who missed the ceremony and are curious about the look that we whipped up for the occasion, here are glimpses from that evening minutes before the throng of photo-epileptic-inducing paparazzis arrived..

  

springtime

we appropriated our angels some liberty to indulge with a bit of freeform embellishing for this wedding ceremony at a private residence in Ampang. we aimed to impress upon them the spirit of spontaneity lest we bore them silly with constant pre-plans and what-nots. the resulting pelamin exceeded our prudish expectation and readily reminded us of Seurat's depiction of that particular season somewhere in France.
