last week, we were at the Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar hotel to adorn the fashion show of our dear friend, Jovian Mandagie.  the occasion was truly a historic one not only for Jovian who staged 3 shows in the same space within the span of a day but also for our angels who worked extraordinarily swiftly within extremely tight intervals to create 3 different ambiances for the 3 shows.  as with every out-of-the-ordinary assignment we had to plan and devise creative designs to mainly please our client and also importantly, to ease the workload of our angels.  this event was truly a daunting challenge.  but our years of experience and hard work paid-off remarkably well.  both our client and his guests were delighted with the looks we created.  here's a peek at the Coco by Jovian ambiance we installed..

timeless

to achieve that luxuriant look most clients crave for, we take sufficient measures to use elements rich in texture, shape and feel.  which is the reason we love using classical forms and materials because they accord a timeless look that is endearing in our designs.  for this Tatler ball held at the Shangri-la hotel, tall curvaceous urns with slender legs and waisted lamp shades with crystal fringes made stunning centerpieces when adorned with gatherings of roses, tulips and hydrangeas.  tables layered with vibrantly textured overlays and furnished with elegantly chic ghost chairs completed the luxurious appeal we intended.  when bathed in soft candle light, romance! mystique...! 

happy and glorious

we created an adorable ambiance for the princess, replete with iridescent balloons, ribbons and secret corners. but when it came to the queen mother, we had to create a more endearing aura to reflect her maturity, status and uncompromising taste level. so, out with the toile overlays and in with the black and gold sequins. above the lush gatherings of roses, tulips and orchids, we floated tea lights in clear votive cups upon transparent pedestals dripping with clear crystals. no hidden corners for secret whispers this time. all were seated comfortably in an open space upon clear louis chairs padded with plush cushions so everyone could engage in open conversations throughout the entire evening. cheers!

the last time we garnished our floral gatherings with porcelains was during a wedding reception in April of last year. recently, we did a similar touch to our floral presentations at an anniversary celebration in Mandarin Oriental. but this time, we were more audacious with our fine clay pieces. instead of hiding them in the petals, we showed them off as prominent display pieces on the dinner tables. as it was a white-and-blue-themed event, we lavished our floral presentations with mostly white blooms of gregarious roses, callas and tulips with touches of blue hydrangeas. our centerpieces perfectly complemented the white and blue toile we used to drape the tables. in the tall centerpieces, we added glowing blue ice cubes for that added oomph. have a look...

rooftop rendezvous

last Monday night, we were at the Conservatory on the 23rd floor of the MAA building to effervesce glitter and gaiety upon a dinner party hosted by a dear client of ours. it was a small gathering of her closest friends to celebrate Valentine's day and the lofty venue provided all the requisite features for such a private occasion. our simple floral displays, clear glassware and transparent props melded perfectly with the serpentine table arrangement we purposely set up for the lighthearted occasion. when the lights were dimmed and the candles lit, the Conservatory came alive and glowed with a warm radiance.

petrified forest

our task at the newly opened DoubleTree by Hilton last Saturday was to leave a lasting first impression. so, we forested the main stage of the ballroom with tall stands of mirrored columns crowned with graceful arches of moth orchids upon lush beds of roses and hydrangeas. shorter gatherings of fresh blooms on clear cylinders played consorts to a plush Cleopatra that we set upon a 2-tiered dais fronting the tree line. our pelamin terminated with two sentinels of fresh arrangements simply placed on the stage floor.

we repeated our tree adventure in the ballroom with lanky flower arrangements placed on knee-high mirror pedestals placed strategically on the aisle borders. we decked the tabletops with pretty rose posies and scattered candles in votive cups and chrome based glass holders among them. we separated the regular guest tables from those of the special guests’ with different choices of overlays: understated black for the regulars, stunning silver sequins for the specials. of course we made sure that the two most important people had the most impressive table of all.
