let there be light-heartedness

due to the strict regulations at the Prince Court Medical Center, we were not permitted to light the oil lamps we scattered around the center's Deepavali decorations with real flames.  nonetheless, we compensated the absence of that very significant element with vibrant colors and exuberant displays to ensure that the spirit of the festival of lights is felt by everyone who enters the center.

the parade that ended serenely on saturday was succeeded by this burst of exuberance at the Sime Darby Convention Center the next day.  colors that were discreetly contained on hantaran vessels during the nikah ceremony were now unabashedly displayed on the pelamin, aisle decors and the main table for a remarkable reception dinner.

peacock parade

the splendid colors of the peacock provided a remarkable embellishment to the hantaran ensemblage during this akad nikah ceremony last saturday.  the white pelamin and pale ambiance also helped to accentuate the rich purples and greens in the flowers as well as the brilliant hues of the peacock feather garnishing.
