resplendent

the parade that ended serenely on saturday was succeeded by this burst of exuberance at the Sime Darby Convention Center the next day.  colors that were discreetly contained on hantaran vessels during the nikah ceremony were now unabashedly displayed on the pelamin, aisle decors and the main table for a remarkable reception dinner.

middle earth

fairy lights and white blooms glorified the surround of this client's home in Petaling Jaya where an akad nikah ceremony was held. our team had a splendid time decking the venue with brilliant lights and copious amounts of raindrop crystals and apple blossoms, transforming an otherwise regular evening into a magical experience. we set up transparent tents with crystal chandeliers for guests to dine, sitting on white chiavary chairs around tables covered in sequined silver overlays. we adorned each table with gatherings of roses and hydrangeas in resplendent colors garnished with samplings of succulent grapes and berries. the highlight of the evening was the pelamin with its lush canopy of apple blossoms and hanging tea lights. we arranged beneath it a plush settee upon a double tiered dais covered in rich silver carpeting. of course no pelamin of ours is complete without our flowers! this time, we created two explosions of colors on oversize rustic urns at one corner, trailed by a detritus of equally explosive colors to the left and right of the settee.

four seasons

our friends from GLAM also requested that we create four bridal bouquets, each representing a different style and mood, for them to feature in their upcoming weddings edition. so, we gathered our resources and came up with these darlings that we perceive to project the traditional, the romantic, the baroque and the minimalistic.

bird watching

we decided to downplay our arrangements for a favourite client this time as not to outshine the bigger occasion she’s planned for next month. but of course we had to include a few playful touches here and there for that added drama. see if you can find them!

french kiss

it rained crystals at the Frangipani restaurant Saturday night and we were the perpetrators. we were also responsible for dressing up the tables with layers of lush industrial grey fabrics in sequins. they complemented the restaurant’s ornately patterned stainless steel walls quite elegantly. we decked all the tables with mirrored planters that we filled to the brim with luscious roses, fluffy hydrangeas, crisp mokaras and succulent callas. the blooms burnt pink to rustic red throughout the night. of course, the actual flames came from the hundreds of candles we placed on lofty chrome candle stands and crystal table chandeliers as well as in patterned and crackled cylinders and votive cups we placed snugly between and around the flowers. to finish off, we placed a dainty red mokara on each folded napkin so everyone would feel special. but lest the birthday girl felt left out, we did up her chair with flowers so everyone would know that she’s the princess of the night. muah!
