party animals

enchanting, we were told.  indeed.  if only we could populate the setup with actual denizens of a true rainforest.  but lest we ruin the real intent of this reception dinner, suffice it to scatter the treetops with incandescent lights in place of fireflies, bird silhouette lamps for live perching birds, the recorded calls and songs of tree frogs and crickets for the real sounds.   

but the bride was so enamored with the overall look and feel of the decor that she canceled her booking of an afterparty scheduled at another venue, requested the musicians to setup their instruments right beneath the tree canopies and invited her crepuscular friends to celebrate her big day amidst all the enchantments till the wee hours of morning.  of course that meant more to us than any mention of gratitude.

our dear angel, Hans, single-handedly picked, cut, stitched and sewed choice fabrics into these chic and adorable overlays and accents for Scha and Awal's hantaran sets. he specifically indicated that these adornments should reflect the personalities of the consignees of the hantaran items: demure for the lady, debonair for the gentleman. for the lady, Hans presented the overlays in complementary pink and purple styled in two layers--a sequined tulle underskirt topped with a duchesse satin overskirt. for the gentleman, he crafted oversized bows also from duchesse satin but in cream. he then embellished the plush accents with chunky crystal brooches in agreeable hues. to finish off the assemblage, he blushed the lady's hantaran set with purple and pink blossoms, and the gentleman's with white and cream flowers, with a touch of royal blue highlight. check out the drama in the sirih junjung, ladies and gentlemen.

   

golden splendor

our words would fall flat in a futile attempt to describe the experience we had fulfilling the dream of a dear client who wished to commemorate her special day in traditional splendor and charm. simply put, the experience was phenomenal. but let us just share a little of what we did.

within the confines of our client's breathtaking home, we meticulously arranged lush floral compositions in strategic locations to complement the superbly-built architecture of the spaces. we placed great emphasis on the use of fine decorative details and rich fabric to add subtle but luxuriant touches to the traditional design. warm light from candles and chandeliers added a romantic flair while ambient light reflected off crystals and transparent surfaces added chicness to the whole affair. we relish in the knowledge that our client was supremely pleased with our efforts. we wish her and her husband an everlasting splendid experience together.

blessed bliss

the second day of celebration for our client at the mandarin oriental was set in blue, white and earthy brown. a complete turn around from the previous day's youthful fun and colors, the second day's occasion reflects solemn faith, sincere love and everlasting bliss. we believe that the following shots are best viewed in silent contemplation...
