blue is usually reserved for baby boys but for this majlis cukur jambul, whites and off-whites were chosen to evoke a demure and sedate feel to the occasion.  hush now, the baby's asleep..!

blue yonder

our angels were on familiar territory for this majlis cukur jambul.  we lavished the halls and grounds of this private residence with our floral displays a number of times before and accumulated plenty of praises from the satisfied tenants as well.  so when we were summoned yet again for another engagement at the resident, we were more than thrilled to please our clients.  on this occasion, the festive season, among others, had inspired us to create an ambience glorious in chinoiserie charm and chic.  for the baby chamber, we gathered flowers in delicate pale hues upon blue and white porcelain and placed them strategically on the sunken surfaces of the panelled walls we erected.  soft fabric and plush seats completed the look of the baby chamber.  for the dining area set under white tents festooned with blue lanterns, we placed similar flower gatherings upon oversized round placemats printed with the blue and white porcelain motifs.  here's a peek at the look of the majlis.

early this month we did another majlis cukur jambul at a private residence in Bukit Jelutong.  our client wanted to feature pictures of her adorable baby boy to her guests in a special way.  so, we provided this backdrop for her so her guests may appreciate the pictures and the baby in comfort.

last weekend, we created this elegant baby chamber for a majlis cukur jambul at our client's private residence in Sri Hartamas.  for this event to welcome the birth of her baby boy, our client chose a relaxing palette of gray and cream with a highlight of yellow.  we manifested the creams and yellows in the flower gatherings, and the grays in the furnishings.  have a look..

for this majlis cukur jambul, our dear client presented us with a collection of pictures and designs that inspired her to hold a Sinbad-themed celebration for her infant son. her inspirations allowed us to create a sea voyage adventure replete with a near life-sized sailing vessel about ready to carry her baby on a fantastic journey. we suggested the beautiful Masjid an Nabawi as the backdrop of the baby's chamber much to our client's delight and dressed the event with our signature floral touches. our best hopes and prayers to mother and child!

chic conversation

last weekend, our angels were in Ipoh to grace the residence of a dear client with some floral flair and fine touches.  the client was formally introducing her baby boy to her extended family and relatives with a majlis cukur jambul.  as the decor would be crucial for a lasting impression, she gave us free rein to embellish her residence accordingly. our angels had picked her living hall as the main area for the event where the baby boy in his cradle would be the center of the whole affair.  so, to create the desired look, our angels had to literally transform the space from typical to topical.  first, they covered the plaster walls and marbled floor with wooden panels washed in white.  then they added two panels of latticework styled in classical quatrefoil to evoke dialogue.  for lasting conversations, fine and classical architectural pieces were added to the developing drama.  garden and household accessories added inflections and variety.  and finally, splashes of purples and blues were propped, gathered, and sprawled across the decorated space for conversations that would be repeated over and over.
