illuminate

this year, the challenge posed by our friends at CIMB for their eidul fitri celebration was to create a decor that is far removed from the typical ketupat and balik kampong appeal, or the usual arabian themed approach.   after countless discussions and careful deliberations, our team came out with a contemporary look that not only appeals to our discerning taste but also appeases our client's requirements.  with candles, mirrors and gorgeous displays of floral gatherings, we lit up the newly renovated ballroom of the Mandarin Oriental for the merriment of distinguished guests to the grand occasion.  kudos to all our angels for their labor of love!

tumbleweed

it has been a while since we last did an event at the affable Crowne Plaza Mutiara.  so, when Tradewinds commissioned us to decorate their hari raya open house there, we were all eager to pay the familiar place a friendly visit.  here's a look at our angels' handiwork for the occasion.

caribbean delight

before presenting a box of choice caribbean cigars to a distinguished gentlemen, please ensure that the item is appropriately adorned. firstly, drape a luxuriant peach satin ribbon callously around the box and tie the ends into a single bow slightly off-centered. then, place the box on a bed of plush green hydrangeas arranged in a lacquered grecian urn. add gregarious bunches of roses in pinks and creams to the hydrangeas and finish off with a scattering of dapper green cymbidiums. now, the gift is ready to be presented.

exuberant

a dear friend of ours, the dashing Zed Zaidi, finally tied the knot and celebrated his big day with a reception dinner at the Dewan Perdana Felda. we were elated to be a part of the celebration, lending our floral touches to this auspicious event. as our friend is such a casual sort, we made sure that the affair is anything but insouciant. but we were also mindful as not to go OTT with the decor. we started our routine with our quintessential canopy entrance. sheer white curtains tucked gracefully to their posts in staggered sequence created a greater illusion of depth while bold red borders added the small detail that made all the difference. water candles and fresh gatherings of roses and orchids floating in clear cylinders finished off the look of the entrance. we carried on the welcoming round with a narrow corridor cloaked in silver fabric to invoke a sense of anticipation to guests entering the hall. once inside, we surprised the guests with an abundant composition of vibrant gatherings in yellows, reds and oranges upon a main table covered with a gold sequinned overlay. beyond this spectacle, we hid the final surprise behind a wall of heavy curtain that was only drawn when the proud newlyweds made their formal entrance. of course, you may scroll down this page to see what the surprise is! our best hopes and prayers to Zed and the love of his life! amin..!

tropical treat

recently, Exxon Mobil held a corporate dinner at the Saloma Bistro and engaged our team to enliven the 60's styled venue. the choice theme was vibrant tropical colors with touches of traditional Malay elements. so, we featured the tropical colors in our pick of flowers and fruits, the traditional Malay elements in the fabric and props. guests heading to the bistro were welcomed by a golden pohon beringin juxtaposed with sentinels of tall tropical arrangements floated on clear cylinders upon black pedestals emblazoned with bold traditional motifs in gold. more tropical arrangements welcomed the guests as they proceeded to the curtained main entranced. once inside, guests were treated to an assembly of colorful tropical gardens set upon tables draped in rich songket. upon close inspection, guests would notice that each garden was arranged to be different from the one on the next table with its own mix of fruits and flowers. it's a practice our team simply loves to do and we know our client loved it too!
