for their 30th anniversary celebration, the people at Yayasan Sime Darby decided to hold a gathering at the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC). appropriately themed to the foundation's focus on the protection and preservation of the natural environment, the people wished to feature representations of endangered animals from the foundation's "our big 9" program in the decoration. what better way to highlight the animals than to add them to the centerpieces? so, we set about dressing the tables in alternative copper and olive overlays to evoke an earthly feel. then we created miniature tropical islands on the tables with elephant ears, river pebbles, sphagnum moss and sprinklings of colorful orchids. we made the islands in different heights and configurations to represent the diversity in our ecosystems. finally, on the islands, we placed cutouts of the animals from the big 9 list in black silhouettes labeled in green so guests would learn their names. here's a peek at the look of the evening.

colorado spring
we've been truly blessed this week with light outdoor events happening almost back-to-back. the venues were indeed breaths of fresh air for our angels yearning for activities out in the open. the latest event was held on the grounds of the breathtaking KL PAC with verdant landscapes and awe-inspiring architectural wonders. it's almost unbelievable that such a place exists right in the middle of Kuala Lumpur. it was here that our friends from Naza Quest commissioned us to embellish the launching of their latest Chevrolet model, the Colorado, with touches of glamor and glitter. have a look...

royal reverie
we were perusing through previous portfolios when we found this interesting design that we did almost two years ago. 'twas a simple pelamin that made quite a spectacular impact, especially on the delighted client. a recent client wanted to have a simple affair for her wedding reception. so we thought that this design would suit her requirements perfectly. we decided to revive it, with changes of course. the original design was set up in a living room without the necessity to embellish a large space. this recent design, however, was set up on a stage in a ballroom at the Berjaya Times Square hotel with substantial room for more decorative adventures. so, we instructed our angels to set up the occasion and be mindful of the need to keep it simple in design yet splendid in impact. to compensate the lull of the muted color palette picked by the client, our angels provided plenty of textures and subtle nuances in the choices of fabric and flowers. heavy luxuriant drapes and overlays gave the ambiance a regal touch while lush gregarious flower gatherings in lace encrusted vases rendered the romance. radiance transpired from the flickering candle lights in tall cylinders and votive cups scattered at the entrance, on the main table and around the pelamin. here's the finish look.

timeless
to achieve that luxuriant look most clients crave for, we take sufficient measures to use elements rich in texture, shape and feel. which is the reason we love using classical forms and materials because they accord a timeless look that is endearing in our designs. for this Tatler ball held at the Shangri-la hotel, tall curvaceous urns with slender legs and waisted lamp shades with crystal fringes made stunning centerpieces when adorned with gatherings of roses, tulips and hydrangeas. tables layered with vibrantly textured overlays and furnished with elegantly chic ghost chairs completed the luxurious appeal we intended. when bathed in soft candle light, romance! mystique...!
